Cleaning out the fridge can be fun and hazardous to your health It's early in the morning. Before work. Pre-shower. So you're pretty sure that ripe scent tickling your olfactories as you head into the kitchen is you. You grab a box of your favorite childhood cereal, then head to the fridge to get the milk. The scent grows stronger, and you assume the breeze created when you opened the fridge simply wafted your morning staleness toward your nostrils.

Poison vodka alert
DEADLY "poison" vodka - similar to booze which left a woman in a coma for 11 days - has been found on sale in Manchester.
Five bottles of counterfeit Kirov brand vodka were discovered at a shop in north Manchester contaminated with methanol, normally used in anti-freeze.

Over a half century of Rudolph the Red-nosed Pumping Unit
It all started when Montgomery Ward department stores published a little Christmas poem booklet in 1939 about a lonely reindeer with a shiny red nose who was chosen by Santa to light the way for his reindeer one foggy Christmas eve. The booklets were given to children by the Montgomery Ward Santas and were so popular they continued to be given away during the WWII years. But the little story reached new heights in 1949 when the song, "Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer," sung by Gene Autrey, swept the country.

Seventeen years old and going strong, the Burning Man festival attracts upwards of 30,000 free spirits to the remote Black Rock Desert in northern Nevada, where they assembled for this year's mass meditation, art festival and fiery bacchanal.
