Eine besonders tückische Kombination von Sicherheitslücken im Internet Explorer ermöglicht es Webseiten, auf fremden Rechnern Programme mit Parametern aufzurufen -- mittlerweile existiert ein Exploit, das die Festplatte formatiert.
Das Problem besteht aus mehreren Sicherheitslücken, die alleine genommen nicht weiter kritisch sind, aber im Zusammenspiel gefährliche Angriffe ermöglichen. In einem Advsiory beschreibt Andreas Sandblad, wie die Sicherheitslücken ausgenutzt werden können, um beliebige Kommandos mit Parameterübergabe zu starten.

Optical antenna may allow 'point and pay' cards
A new funnel-shaped optical antenna could allow people to make payments by simply waving their credit cards near an infrared beam.
Its inventors at the University of Warwick, UK, believe their antenna would make the process secure and reliable. And if used in remote-controlled televisions, it could make channel hopping much easier.
