das instrumentarium des 1. wiener gemüseorchesters besteht ausschliesslich aus gemüse, allenfalls werden zusätzliche (küchen-) geräte wie messer oder mixer eingesetzt. dadurch entsteht ein eigenständiger und völlig neuer klangstil, der mit herkömmlichen musikinstrumenten nicht zu erreichen ist.

It must be borne in mind at all times that Hip is not just a language but an attitude -- indeed, a whole culture unto itself. If some of the definitions in the dictionary seem inadequate or puzzling to you please remember that the true hipster has the Taoists aversion to pinning down the changing world. The define something completely is to embalm it intellectually. Subtlety of perception is hip -- as when a jazz musician blows a particularly "wild" chord change and the hipster voices his appreciation by laughing quietly or murmuring "Oh, yeah!" But it is hipper to "dig" the change and forget it to do a post mortem analysis of "just what happened there, musicwise".

Laser Turntable
Because the LT makes no actual physical contact with your vinyl records, the LT reproduces audio exactly as it is recorded in the grooves of the record. This level of sound reproduction is not possible with a turntable using a cartridge (or needle). Any kind of cartridge on a standard turntable, no matter how expensive it may be, still makes physical contact with the grooves in the recording.

Napster Goes Unmourned to the Grave
Like so many one-hit wonders before it, the demise of the once iconic online song-swapping service Napster has failed to stir much sympathy. "Really, who cares?" Sebastian, a student at the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, told Reuters as he heard that Napster would likely be forced into Chapter 7 liquidation as early as Thursday. "Everybody's moved on to other file-sharing (services). The interest for Napster in the Internet community just wasn't as high as everybody originally thought," said the 28-year old student of IT engineering.
