New U2 Album May Be Released on iTunes
Irish band U2 announced that they might rush release their upcoming new CD if the unfinished material from a missing CD copy ends up pirated on the internet. The new CD would end up available on Apple's iTunes music store.

Der legendäre Tenor-Saxofonist Illinois Jacquet, der Swing, Rhythm und Blues miteinander verknüpfte und mit fast jeder Jazz- und Blues-Größe seiner Zeit spielte, ist tot. Jacquets Stil prägte maßgeblich die Art des Saxofonspiels in der populären Musik abseits des Jazz.

Godfather of Soul Does Jazz
On July 20, Verve Records will issue for the first time on CD James Brown's 35-year-old jazz album, "Soul on Top."
Recorded in 1969 with the Louie Bellson Orchestra and originally released on King Records, the 12-tune collection features Oliver Nelson's arrangements and Brown's bandmate Maceo Parker Jr.'s tenor sax.

Sonnenbrille mit integriertem MP3-Player
Der US-Sonnenbrillenhersteller Oakley hat nun ein neues Modell "Thump" mit eingebautem MP3-Player angekündigt. Der Player ist dabei in den Rahmen der Sonnebrille integriert, so sollen den Träger keine baumelnden Kabel nerven.

U2 dismayed after upcoming album tracks disappear
A rough cut of the next U2 album went missing during the Irish rock group's recent photo shoot in France. Band members worry the rough-cut album tracks will eventually appear on the Internet for download, months before the album's release.
Edge, guitarist, said, "A large slice of two years' work lifted. It doesn't seem credible, but that's what just happened to us." The album has not yet been named and is scheduled for a November release.

Im südfranzösischen Nizza ist eine CD mit neuen Songs der irischen Rock-Band verschwunden. U2 fürchten nun, dass die Lieder vorab illegal veröffentlicht werden. Die Polizei ermittelt wegen Diebstahls.

Eminem gets his own satellite radio station
Eminem will have his own channel on satellite radio starting this fall, a major provider announced Monday.
Sirius Satellite Radio said it has teamed up with the Detroit-area rapper -- along with his label, Shady Records, and Interscope Records -- to create "a cutting-edge hip-hop music and lifestyle channel."

Luftgitarrenmeisterschaft in Berlin
Ingo Schulz ist deutscher Luftgitarrenmeister. Mit einer Kür zu 'Highway to hell' spielte er sich in Berlin vor 200 Zuschauern zum Sieg. Sogar den japanischen Meister ließ er hinter sich.
