Lalo Guerrero, 'Father of Chicano Music,' Dies at 88
We note the death of popular Chicano musician Eduardo "Lalo" Guerrero. He died Wednesday in Rancho Mirage, Calif. He was 88. Dubbed "The Father of Chicano Music," his repertoire ranged from politically charged corridos to popular Latin-flavored parodies. His influence was felt far and wide in the Latin music community.

Metallica news: Official board hacked
We are still having some problems with the message forum here at encycmet.com, but I am working on it att his very minute and I hope to fix it real soon.
Anyway, metallica.com have some problems too. The official message board was hacked a few days ago and I guess the webmaster over there got a shock when he found his forum down.

Austrians thrown by Jackson medal
It is surely not the first time Michael Jackson's attire has raised eyebrows.
This time it is the citizens of Vienna confused by the pop star's outfit for one of his court appearances this week.
Mr Jackson was seen wearing the Golden Medal of Honour for Services to Vienna, despite having committed no conspicuous feat for the Austrian capital.

After much consideration of different technical design aspects and contemplating various musical ideas, I was able to arrive at a project that would fulfill all of my musical and engineering goals.An intelligent MIDI sequencer was designed with hamster control. The MIDI sequencer intelligently produced melodies by manipulating the musical elements of rhythm and note-choice. Guided by inputs based on hamster movements, Markov chains were used to perform such beat and note computations.

Hasbro Launching Musical Toothbrush
Toymaker Hasbro Inc. plans to turn jawbones into headphones in an effort to tune out tooth decay.
The company announced Friday it's launching "Tooth Tunes," a toothbrush that transmits music through the jawbone to the ear when its bristles touch teeth.
