Mobile phone tracks heartbeats
A device that attaches to a normal mobile phone and allows patients to check their breathing and heart rate has been developed by researchers in the US. The device combines an antenna and sensor which can pick up respiratory and heart activity when connected to a mobile phone and placed in front of a patient.

The Pyramid
Dedicated to the proposition that the Great Pyramid is a rational (in the mathematical sense) structure, designed and built by normal people. This is a radical statement about the Pyramid, especially on the internet because all web pages that I have been able to find that deal with the Pyramid, maintain that it was built and/or inspired by either God or space aliens. Most don't even consider that it could be a rational structure designed and built by normal people.

Cecilia Jessop, 58, took hundreds of Pro Plus stimulant pills and washed them down with Red Bull energy drinks. She was found by her husband surrounded by empty tablet capsules and drink cans. Collector Buys Clues to 5th 'Potter' Book
An American collector has paid more than $45,000 for a card full of clues to the plot of the long-awaited fifth Harry Potter book.
The unidentified buyer made the winning bid Thursday for the card, handwritten by author J.K. Rowling as a charity fund-raiser. The money will be used to buy more than 18,000 books for schools in Africa.

Box mystery at Union Sq.
Straphangers bracing for a transit strike got a taste of fear and chaos yesterday when a vandal taped 38 boxes on walls and under benches in one of the city's busiest subway stations - closing the hub for five hours. Cops cleared the Union Square station shortly before 11 a.m. as bomb squad technicians gingerly collected the empty black cardboard boxes with the word FEAR written on them in white block letters.
