Lego Toilet Paper Folder & Dispenser
Made using Lego Mindstorms, scissors, and some scrap metal as a project by two friends studing at UC Berkeley. It would be a perfect accessory for your high-tech bathroom as this little device folds the paper for you and then cuts it, for added convinience.

Q&A with the CEO of Lego
Founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Christiansen, Lego started life in the wooden toy business. Derived from the Danish words 'leg' (play) and 'godt' (well), the company's play-well concept has turned Lego into one of the most recognised premium toy brands in the world, and one of Denmark's most iconic companies.

Escher's Relativity in Lego
Daniel Shiu and I worked on this as a joint project after we finished our rendition of Escher's "Ascending and Descending", making it our fourth Escher picture rendered in LEGO. Once again, no camera tricks, but the picture has to be taken from exactly the right place, and boy did we get tired of trying to find where that place was. The whole thing took five or six evenings spread over two or three weeks. Most of the last evening was taken up with setting up the lighting the way we wanted it and trying to get the camera position just right...

The Making of a LEGO Brick
Achieving near-perfection in these multicolored bricks is anything but child's play. Let's hear it for LEGO! Rubik's cube solver bot
To achieve a cube solution, you must be able to rotate the whole cube by 90° in two orthogonal axes, and be able to turn a face by 90° relative to the rest of the cube.
I opted to use the left and right grabbers to turn the faces; the yellow grabber can rotate the left face by an 90°; the green grabber can rotate the right face by 90°; or they can both turn simultaneously while the bottom grab is open to rotate the whole cube through 90°.

LEGO Harpsichord
With the exception of the wire strings, this instrument is entirely constructed out of LEGO parts--the keyboard, jacks, jack rack, jack rail, plectra, soundboard, bridge, hitch pins, tuning pins, wrestplank, nut, case, legs, lid, lid stick, and music stand are all built out of interlocking ABS (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene) plastic bricks and related pieces.
