'Monty Python' director MacNaughton dead
Ian MacNaughton, a television director who helped bring the anarchic "Monty Python's Flying Circus" to the screen, has died. He was 76. MacNaughton died December 10 in Munich, Germany, from injuries sustained in a 2001 car accident, Monty Python member Terry Jones said.
MacNaughton directed all but the first four episodes of "Monty Python's Flying Circus," which ran on BBC television from 1969 to 1974.

Tom Selleck tells GLARE, "It's obvious with all the television series they're making into movies these days that there's a demand for a film. Two Towers Debuts With $26M Opening Day
The fellowship of the ring may have fractured on screen, but it's alive and kicking in theaters. "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" took in $26 million domestically on opening day Wednesday, up 44 percent from the $18 million debut of the trilogy's first film, "The Fellowship of the Ring," last year.

Sylvester Stallone has signed up to write the script for a sixth Rocky movie, 12 years after the last movie flopped at the box office. He may also return in the role of Rocky, who would be lured out of retirement for one last fight, according to reports.

Coppola buys vineyard for a 'shocking' price
Film director Francis Ford Coppola has agreed to pay $31.5-million -- a wine industry record -- for the Cohn Vineyard in Napa Valley. The deal brings an end to a bidding war between Coppola and Robert Mondavi. The maker of Apocalypse Now and The Godfather will pay an estimated $350,000 an acre for the prized vineyard.

James: "I beat Harry Potters ass again"
The James Bond flick, which debuted as the No. 1 movie two weeks earlier, returned to the top spot with $13 million, according to studio estimates Sunday.
The mobster-in-therapy sequel "Analyze That," starring Robert De Niro and Billy Crystal, had a weaker debut than the original movie, opening with $11.3 million. "Analyze This" had premiered with $18.4 million in 1999 on its way to a total gross of $106.7 million.
