Teen caught filming Spider-man 2
A 16 year old teen was caught secretly filming the first showing of Spider-Man 2 in a Los Angeles theater. The teen and two of his friends were arrested and handed over to the LAPD after leaving the midnight screening of the movie.

Brando 'nearly destitute', says biographer
Arguably the greatest film actor of the 20th century, Marlon Brando has been reduced to a life of poverty, according to a forthcoming biography by Patricia Ruiz. The Sunday Times reports that the book, Brando in Twilight, paints an abject picture of an American icon crippled by legal and familial battles.

Steal This Movie Fahrenheit 9/11
Moore was asked by a reporter, “When people download your movies without paying for them, do you think it’s a good thing because your message gets out?” Moore’s reply:
I don’t agree with the copyright laws and I don’t have a problem with people downloading the movie and sharing it with people. As long as they’re not doing it to make a profit, you know, as long as they’re not trying to make a profit off my labor. I would oppose that."

Der Dokumentarfilm 'Fahrenheit 9/11' ist auf dem besten Weg, die Spitze der US-amerikanischen Kino-Charts zu erobern. Allein am Freitag erreichte er einen Umsatz von 8,2 bis 8,4 Mio. Dollar und lag damit sogar deutlich vor der Komödie 'White Chicks'.

Michael Moore Loses Fight Against R Rating
Lions Gate Films and IFC Films has appealed to the MPAA to get it to change the R rating for "Fahrenheit 9/11" to PG-13. They argued that 15 and 16 year olds needed to see the film because they could join the military when 17.

Disney Doom: '80 Days' the Latest $100 Million Flop After Just One Day
Disney, the movie studio that can't buy a break these days, is about to have a very bad weekend.
Their big new $100 million-plus movie, "Around the World in 80 Days," opened on Wednesday to very little interest. Its take was about $1.5 million on over 2,700 screens.

Kein "Blair-Film" von Michael Moore
Michael Moore wird keinen Film über Tony Blairs Rolle im Irak-Krieg machen. dpa zitiert den Regisseur mit den Worten: 'Das war nur ein Witz'. Auf seiner Website hat sich Moore bereits bei Blair entschuldigt, ihn verängstigt zu haben.
