Factual Eyewitness Testimony Of: UFO Encounters [mp3]
I have had this 2LP set so long I can't recall how I got it, it may originally been made available through sc-fi mags but I'm not sure.
The listener is treated to a brief history of UFO sightings, what constitutes a UFO and close encounters as well as some great recordings of abductees under hypnosis! The inner gatefold is chock-full of photos and drawings of saucers, aliens and the witnesses. Why aren't there more investigations, WHY?!?!?

Fury at Turkish ban on bikini ads
The bikini has become the latest item to offend the Islamic-oriented authorities in Turkey. After a bungled attempt to outlaw alcohol, municipal officials in Istanbul have set their sights on billboard advertisements of the skimpy swimsuit. The ban, revealed last week despite efforts by the mayor to play down the furore, has triggered outrage among swimsuit manufacturers.

The battleground is YouTube and Scientology's weapon is a clip of me losing it in the "Mind Control" section of a gruesome exhibition.

Scientology has prepared an attack video, and they have shown the Scientology v Sweeney shouting match to anyone who would watch it.

The BBC man, the Scientologist - and the YouTube rant
A Journalist at Panorama, the BBC's flagship current affairs series, has been reprimanded for losing his temper and screaming with rage during the making of an investigation into the Church of Scientology.
John Sweeney has apologised for the outburst against a scientologist which was filmed and then put on the video-sharing website YouTube, prompting criticism of the corporation. The BBC held an internal inquiry but said Sweeney had not breached any guidelines.

Aztec and Mayan Calendars - One of the great mysteries of history
The photograph below is the Aztec Calendar, on display at the Museo Nacional de Antropologia in Mexico City, Mexico.

Pi fans to meet March 14 (3.14, get it?)
This is a story about love. About inscrutable complexity and remarkable simplicity, about the promise of forever. It is about obsession and devotion, and grand gestures and 4,000-word love letters.
It is about a curious group of people with an almost religious zeal for a mind-numbing string of numbers. Actually one number, made up of a chain that is known — so far — to be more than one trillion digits long.
They are the acolytes of the church of pi.
Daniel Tammet first came to worldwide attention in March 2004 on international Pi Day (3/14, of course) when he recited, from memory, Pi to 22,514 decimal places.
