London - Binnen 43,5 Sekunden ist die legendäre britische Komikertruppe Monty Python die Karten für ihre erste Bühnenshow seit drei Jahrzehnten losgeworden. Als eine Viertelstunde nach Beginn des Vorverkaufs am Montag die Preise für die knapp hundert Euro teuren Karten im Internet bereits auf rund 1900 Euro angestiegen waren, kündigte die Gruppe vier weitere Auftritte an.

Monty Python reunion – live blog
The surviving Monty Pythons reunited at a press conference in London on Thursday to talk about their big plans for new live shows next year. Stuart Heritage was at hand to live blog the whole thing
- Monty Python are reforming for a stage show at the London O2 in July 2014
- Tickets will go on sale at 10am on November 25th. They will be priced between £27.50 and £95.
- The show will be a mixture of old and new material, with Terry Gilliam providing new animations.
- There are no concrete plans to tour, although the members seem very interested in the idea.
- John Cleese won't be doing any silly walks because he's got an artificial hip.

Monty Python team to reveal details of reunion
The surviving members of comedy group Monty Python are to reveal their plans for a much-anticipated reunion later.
Eric Idle, Michael Palin, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones will attend a press conference in London to announce their first new project for three decades.
The project is believed to be a stage show, although the venue is still under wraps.

Monty Python to reunite for stage show
All of the surviving members of comedy group Monty Python are to reform for a stage show, one of the Pythons, Terry Jones, has confirmed.
"We're getting together and putting on a show - it's real," Jones told the BBC.
"I'm quite excited about it. I hope it makes us a lot of money. I hope to be able to pay off my mortgage!"
