Policeman and retired Guardia Civil arrested for drug trafficking in Málaga
A National policeman and a retired Guardia Civil have been arrested in Málaga for drug trafficking. There are at least six arrests in total in the operation which has recovered 1,300 kilos of hashish.

USA: Regierung genehmigt Marihuana als Medikament
Die US-Regierung hat grünes Licht für den medizinischen Einsatz von Marihuana gegeben, sofern dies von Gesetzen in den Bundesstaaten gedeckt ist. «Es hat für uns keinen Vorrang, Ressourcen des Bundes für die strafrechtliche Verfolgung von Patienten oder ihren Betreuern einzusetzen, wenn dies den Gesetzen der Staaten entspricht», teilte US-Justizminister Eric Holder mit. Zugleich werde die Regierung aber nicht dulden, dass sich Drogenschmuggler hinter solchen Richtlinien versteckten. 14 US-Bundesstaaten haben den Einsatz von Marihuana für medizinische Zwecke in der einen oder anderen Weise legalisiert.

Gallup Poll Shows Record Support for Marijuana Legalization
Gallup's October Crime poll finds 44% of Americans in favor of making marijuana legal and 54% opposed. U.S. public support for legalizing marijuana was fixed in the 25% range from the late 1970s to the mid-1990s, but acceptance jumped to 31% in 2000 and has continued to grow throughout this decade.

Haschisch ist ein weitverbreitetes Rauschmittel. Das ist zwar keine neue Erkenntnis, aber eine neue Studie belegt es besonders eindrücklich: Im Jahr 2006 haben weltweit 166 Millionen Menschen Cannabis konsumiert.
Stephen Gately, der kürzlich verstorbene Boyzone-Sänger, soll Cannabis geraucht haben. Auch Brad Pitt war angeblich dem Marihuana nicht abgeneigt. Und der Olympia-König Michael Phelps musste sich in diesem Jahr für drei Monate vom Schwimmbecken fernhalten, weil er beim Kiffen fotografiert und deshalb gesperrt wurde. Die Stars sind bei weitem nicht alleine: 166 Millionen Menschen weltweit kiffen. Das sind knapp vier Prozent der Weltbevölkerung.

Hanfaktivisten beim Hanfanbau auf einer DEA Hauptquartier-Grünfläche verhaftet
Eine Gruppe von Hanfbauern und Geschäftsleute im Cannabis Business wurden bei einer Aktion des “zivilen Ungehorsams” auf einer Rasenfläche vor dem Hauptquartier der Drogenkontrollbehörde der USA (Drug Enforcement Agency, DEA), bei dem Versuch industriellen Faserhanfsamen zu pflanzen, verhaftet.

Fake school bus had 5,408 lbs. of pot on board
The driver of a fake school bus was able to evade arrest after a state trooper discovered more than $1 million worth of marijuana inside the bus, Department of Public Safety officials said.

Bhutanese ganja finding way to state markets
After marijuana from Manipur hit the pot in northern India, marijuana grown in the wild in Bhutan is finding its way to Indian markets again after a brief lull in illegal trade of the contraband.
In the past, we had made seizures of 1500 kg and 3,000 kg of Bhutanese marijuana in Udalguri.
