Volksentscheide zu Marihuana
Legalize it!
Die US-Bundesstaaten Colorado und Washington wollen Anbau und Besitz von Marihuana legalisieren - eine Mehrheit stimmte für entsprechende Gesetzesänderungen. Beide Staaten hoffen auf neue Einkünfte aus Marihuana-Steuern, werden aber mit Bundesgesetzen in Konflikt geraten.

Österreichischer Drogenbericht: Alkohol- und Nikotinkonsum bei Jungen mit Abstand am häufigsten.
Wien - Cannabis bleibt bei Teenagern die mit Abstand am häufigsten konsumierte illegale Droge - liegt aber deutlich hinter Alkohol und Zigaretten, wie aus dem aktuellen "Österreichischen Drogenbericht" des Gesundheitsministeriums hervorgeht.

Klagenfurt - Eine Cannabis-Indoorplantage mit 270 Pflanzen ist am Freitag in Klagenfurt entdeckt. Der 55-jährige "Züchter" wurde in Untersuchungshaft genommen.

171 Kilogramm Marihuana produziert
Die Polizei hat zwei Cannabisproduzenten ausgeforscht. Ein 54-jähriger Mann soll in den letzten zehn Jahren 171 Kilogramm Marihuana mittels einer Indoorplantage produziert haben. Bei einem Kunden des Mannes wurde im Bezirk Gänserndorf auch eine Indoorplantage entdeckt.

San Francisco Considers Strict Outdoor Smoking Ban – Except For Medical Pot
Smoking anything other than medically-prescribed marijuana at San Francisco street fairs, festivals and other outdoor events held on city property would be banned under new legislation before the Board of Supervisors.
Supervisor Eric Mar said he introduced the proposal because of the health impacts of secondhand smoke when people light up in public.

A settlement of the money-laundering investigation is near and could come within weeks, according to these people. Among the allegations Justice Department prosecutors have focused on, according to people familiar with the criminal probe, is whether bank officials were complicit in laundering by drug cartels by allowing suspicious money to be hidden in flows of bulk cash between the U.S. and Mexico.
