The festival's organizer, Students for Sensible Drug Policy, then asked U.S. District Court Judge Algenon Marbley to overturn the university's decision to cancel the event.

Grits to legalize pot
The Liberals are committed to carrying out their plan to decriminalize marijuana if re-elected, Prime Minister Paul Martin said Friday in the playground of a day-care centre.
Martin was responding to a question about whether a Liberal government would reintroduce a law to hand out fines - not criminal sentences - to people caught with 15 grams of pot or less. The legislation died last month when Parliament was dissolved for the federal election campaign.

Enter the dragon
'The Ford Estate was notorious in the Eighties. I wouldn't have wanted to live there. Always in the papers, always being vandalised, loads of drug use. One of the worst estates in Birkenhead. There was no purpose for those kids, no point, because there were no jobs. Norman Tebbit told us to get on our bikes, but it's quite hard to ride a bike to London on heroin.
