Cannabis-Farm in Wohnung aufgeflogen
Eine Hanfplantage hatte ein 28-Jähriger in seiner Wohnung in Aachen aufgebaut. Ungefähr 500 Hanfpflanzen züchtete er in seiner Wohnung. Die Polizei stellte alle Pflanzen sicher.

Drugs found at crash
Two people were injured and $2.25 million worth of cocaine and Ecstasy tablets were discovered after a 2001 Lexus being pursued by a Russell County sheriff’s deputy crashed about 9:20 a.m. Sunday near Wilson.
According to a news release from the Russell County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy stopped the Lexus for a minor traffic violation about 9 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate Highway 70 about 10 miles west of the Wilson exit. The officer became suspicious, and the driver gave him permission to search the car.

Cannabis in the Netherlands is almost twice as strong as in the rest of the European Union, where the drug's potency has remained stable, the EU drugs agency said on Friday.
Politicians' worries over the health risks of stronger cannabis prompted the Lisbon-based European Monitoring Center for Drugs and Drug Addiction to examine marijuana and hashish available in the bloc.

Drogenhandel in Wiener Bastlergeschäft aufgeflogen
Da sich das von seinem Vater übernommene Bastlergeschäft in Wien-Favoriten finanziell als nicht sehr ergiebig erwies, verlegte sich der 24-jährige Markus L. auf den Handel mit Waren anderer Art und stieg in den Drogenhandel ein.

Anti-Drogen-Tag in China
Heute ist chinesischer Anti-Drogen-Tag. Aufgrunddessen sind heute 67 Menschen hingerichtet worden. Es handelte sich dabei um Rauschgiftkriminelle. Außerdem gab es in mehreren Städten Demonstrationen mit mehreren tausend Teilnehmern.

Czechs Roll Out Marijuana Flavored Liquor
A large alcoholic drinks manufacturer has launched a marijuana flavored liquor, the company said Friday.
The drink does not contain any tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, which is the active substance in marijuana. But the beverage does have an alcohol level of 16 percent, said Jiri Janak, the head of liquor production at Drinks Union.

Cannabis-Konsum in Deutschland verdreifachte sich innerhalb von zehn Jahren
Wie am Freitag bekannt wurde, hat die Anzahl der Cannabis-Konsumenten sich in Deutschland von 1992 bis 2002 fast verdreifacht. Insgesamt haben neun Millionen Deutsche schon einmal Cannabis geraucht, 400.000 sind abhängig.
