In central India, a state run school had been adding alcohol and marijuana in the school's lunches to help keep the meals tasty.

Bush to Target Marijuana
The US government is concerned that marijuana has double the potency the drug had two decades ago. This led President Bush to order that resources used to fight hard drugs like cocaine and heroin be diverted against pot.

Das niedersächsische Landeskriminalamt warnt: Kiffen wird immer gefährlicher.
Im Gegensatz zu den vergangenen Jahren sei der THC-Gehalt der Cannabis-Produkte so sehr angestiegen, dass eine noch höhere Gefährdung vorliege, mit psychischen Problemen und Nebenwirkungen konfrontiert zu werden.

Canadian Pot Use Doubled Over Past 13 Years
A new report released by Statistics Canada shows that marijuana use has doubled over the past 13 years. The highest rates of use were found be among teens. Higher usage of harder drugs such as heroin and and LSD is also on the up.

British Couple Smuggled Cocaine Inside Dogs
A Brtish couple were convicted of trying to smuggle cocaine using the stomachs of two dogs. Gregory Graham and Kaye Chapman were found guilty of conspiracy to import drugs. The two dogs flew in from Colombia, and were supposed to fly out to London.

Seed quality, grower's know-how to blame?
Complaints from patients about the second batch of government-certified marijuana to come out of Flin Flon has prompted Winnipeg pot advocates to blame poor quality seeds and inexperienced growers. Health Canada made changes in its grow operation after authorized medicinal marijuana users grumbled about the quality and potency of the initial harvest last summer.
Yet the second batch is also receiving bad reviews.

Stoned Student Steals Car From LGA, Gets Lost In Connecticut
A Delaware college student ate a bag of hallucinogenic mushrooms and drove around in a pair of stolen cars before arriving, confused, on a mountain in northwest Connecticut police said.
Paul Cunningham, 21, hiked to a nearby home Thursday night and asked to call 911, police said.
"I think I stole a car," Cunningham told a dispatcher. "I'm not sure."

If you're carrying over 800 pounds of marijuana, don't use fake license plates
Thursday afternoon a police unit stopped an 18-wheeler on Highway 77 for having a fake license plate. Police say the driver became nervous, so they asked for consent to search the trailer.
Inside they found 52 bundles of marijuana weighing more than 800 pounds, hidden in a load of skateboards.

Pot plot uncovered during Olympic torch relay
Greek police say they stumbled across a cannabis plantation during the Olympic torch relay through the island of Crete at the weekend.
The plantation, covering 185 metres, was spotted at the base of a gully in the north-east of the island from a police helicopter which was carrying out an aerial surveillance of the relay on Sunday.
