Bush fundraiser linked to crashed drug plane
A MadCowMorningNews investigation has uncovered links between the ownership of the drug-running Gulfstream (Cocaine Two) and the other American-registered plane busted carrying a multi-ton load of cocaine in Mexico recently, the DC9 (Cocaine One) airliner caught with 5.5 tons of cocaine in Mexico 18 months ago.

Marijuana a dangerous drug!!!!! Don’t think so
I will turn 75 years of age in about a week. I smoked my first marijuana when I was 12 years old, and I have used it pretty much since, on again off again now and again, but at a pretty steady pace. I have grown my own for the past 35 years. That all sums to about 63 years of use. Okay, I still have ten fingers and ten toes and my mind is fairly sound and I’m in what my doctor describes as good health.

Der kalifornische Gouverneur Arnold Schwarzenegger hält Marihuana nicht für eine Droge. Schwarzenegger sagte der britischen Ausgabe des Magazins „GQ“, er habe niemals Drogen genommen. Gleichzeitig räumte er ein, in den 70er Jahren Marihuana geraucht zu haben. In der Dokumentation „Pumping Iron“ von 1977 wurde er sogar dabei gefilmt.

Already facing enough problems with the wild fires that have swept California, the state's governor Arnold Schwarzenegger may have stepped into a new row by claiming that marijuana is not a drug. In an interview with GQ magazine, the Hollywood star turned governor of California insisted: "I didn't take any drugs."

Seeds of rebel's U.S. pot fight grew in Canada
To anyone who has followed the principled opposition of London, Ont. native Marc Emery to everything from a ban on Sunday shopping and potty mouthed rap videos to draconian laws against marijuana possession, his current status as drug martyr facing a possible life sentence in a dank U.S. prison can hardly come as a surprise.
I still remember Emery as the loquacious proprietor of the downtown indie book store, City Lights, during my mid-'80s tenure as a student at the University of Western Ontario.

Ein britisches Kriegsschiff hat auf einem venezolanischen Fischerboot im Nordatlantik drei Tonnen Kokain beschlagnahmt. Ein Hubschrauber der Fregatte "HMS Portland" habe das verdächtige Schiff geortet, teilte das Verteidigungsministerium in London gestern mit.

Police shocked by mobile marijuana grow-op
Call it pot luck. A Mountie looking for trucks with improperly secured loads on Sunday found a grow-op on wheels inside a cube van.
....Inside the van was 324 marijuana plants in various stages of growth - 115 mature plants and 209 clones (clippings from a mother plant) - as well as 1,760 grams of bud and growing equipment.

Dutch turn out to protest at magic mushroom ban
Carrying banners reading “When will they ban bread?” and “Boss of your own brain”, more than 100 people, some wearing hats resembling the bright red cap of the popular fly agaric variety, protested to keep hallucinogenic mushrooms legal.
After several incidents involving tourists - in March, a French teenager jumped to her death from a bridge after taking mushrooms - the Dutch Government plans to ban them.

Demo gegen Verbot von "Magic Mushrooms" in Amsterdam
In Amsterdam haben heute mehr als 100 Demonstranten gegen ein drohendes Verbot von rauscherzeugenden Pilzen protestiert. Mit Slogans wie "Wann werden sie Brot verbieten?" und "Mein Gehirn gehört mir!" machten die teilweise als überlebensgroße Pilze verkleideten Niederländer ihrem Ärger Luft.

Yes, you read it right. This electric guitar is worth €2,500,000 (US $3,598,002) because it’s made of pure cocaine. A 30-something guy flew from Costa Rica to Fiumicino airport in Rome with a guitar (a black Squier Strat, with the label still on the scratch plate) and 10 thermos flasks in his luggage.
