Indoor cultivation and potency on the rise
Indoor cannabis culitvation is increasing in some areas of the country as growers attempt to avoid outdoor eradication and attain higher profits through production of indoor-grown high-potency marijuana. Federal, state and local law enforcement reporting indicates that vigorous outdoor cannabis eradication efforts have caused many marijuana producers, particularly Caucasian groups, to relocate indoors even in leading outdoor grow states such as California and Tennessee. In addition to the reduced risk of detection, indoor cannabis cultivators benefit from higher profits because cultivation is a year-round process with four to six harvests per year and controlled conditions that enable growers to produce high-quality marijuana that commands higher prices in most drug markets. These factors have contributed to a sharp increase in indoor culitvation reported by law enforcement.

Illegal drug GHB found in children's toy
Toys made in China were being seized and tested in Hong Kong today after scientists in Australia found that similar toys contained a chemical that converts into an illegal drug when ingested, officials said.
At least five children in the United States and Australia have been hospitalised after swallowing the toy beads, which are used for arts and crafts projects. They can be arranged into designs and fused when sprayed with water.

A study of more than 5,000 youngsters in Switzerland has found those who smoked marijuana do as well or better in some areas as those who do not, researchers said.
But the same was not true for those who used both tobacco and marijuana, who tended to be heavier users of the drug, said the report from Dr J C Suris and colleagues at the University of Lausanne.

Cocaine is bad for the brain?
Caution: This video is very graphic.
In Australia, they apparently don’t have to hold back for their PSAs like they do in the US.

New Drug Alert!
We're not sure what they're inhaling down in Collier County, Florida, but here's the bizarre "information bulletin" prepared by the local sheriff's intelligence bureau about a purported "new drug" favored by the kids. It's an inhalant called "Jenkem," and causes hallucinations and a "euphoric high." Of course, as the bulletin notes, Jenkem users dislike its sewagey taste, which can last for days. That's because Jenkem's active ingredients are urine and fecal matter, hence its street names like "Butthash" and "Fruit from Crack Pipe."
