Former UPS worker accused of stealing $160,000 diamond, trading it for $20 of marijuana
A one-time UPS worker is accused of stealing a package containing a $160,000 diamond, and trading the valuable jewel for $20 worth of marijuana.
Walter Earl Morrison, 20, was working for UPS while unloading a plane in the cargo section of Sky Harbor Airport when he stuffed a package under his shirt, according to court documents.

Man Forgets 140 Pounds of Weed in Rental Car
It is not uncommon for a busy person to return a rental car, only to find out a short time later that they forgot their CDs in the glove box or their sunglasses on the visor. However, regardless of how much of a rush a person might be in, there is no chance of that they would turn the keys over to a rental agent having left over a hundred pounds of marijuana in trunk -- right?
Well, allow us to introduce you to perhaps the worst drug smuggler that HIGH TIMES has witnessed in the past four decades -- New Mexico resident David Ung. Authorities say they received a call earlier this week from a Hertz Rent-A-Car location near Albuquerque International Sunport claiming that a customer had just turned in a vehicle loaded up with what appeared to be marijuana.

Here at the National Cannabis Coalition, we believe marijuana will eventually be legalized nationwide. Until then, cannabis consumers must remain vigilant to avoid the long arm of the law. Nobody’s perfect and bad luck can help police take down even the most cautious tokers. However, in 2013, a few stoners managed to do everything in their power to help police bust them for weed. Er suchte Drogen und fand Spott: Ein Kanadier hat im Kurznachrichtendienst Twitter Dealer zur Lieferung von Drogen an seinen Arbeitsplatz aufgerufen. „Will irgendein Dealer in Vaughan 20 Dollar mit Haschisch verdienen?“, fragte der Mann. Dann nannte er die Adresse der Autowerkstatt „Mr. Lube“ in Vaughan nahe Toronto, in der er arbeitete. „Ich brauche einen Joint oder zwei, damit ich die Schicht durchstehe“, erläuterte der Mechaniker. Der Tweet wurde mittlerweile gelöscht.

Russian surgeon steals heroin he removed from drug mule's stomach
A Russian surgeon, who took a cut for himself when removing heroin from the stomach of a drug mule in Siberia for the police, faces up to 15 years in prison for theft and drug possession.
The doctor was high when agents arrested him, according to the ministry of the interior.
The surgeon, who has not been named but who worked in the small city of Bogotol in the Krasnoyarsk region, removed capsules of heroin from the stomach of a drug smuggler.

Wien - Ein 36-jähriger Wiener, der dafür verantwortlich war, dass eine junge Frau irrtümlich aus einer Mineralwasserflasche trank, in die er unverdünntes Gammabutyrolacton (GBL) gefüllt hatte, ist Donnerstagmittag im Straflandesgericht zu zwei Jahren unbedingter Haft verurteilt worden. Die 27-Jährige war am 6. April an den Folgen des eingenommenen Liquid Ecstasy gestorben.

Australian police bust man driving car with no steering wheel
Police in South Australia arrested a man who was found driving a car with no steering wheel and using a pair of vise grips to steer.
At about 8:25 a.m. Monday, police saw the driver of a white Holden sedan driving dangerously on two flat tires in the North Eastern suburbs, police say.

Man Steals Human Ashes, Thinks It's Cocaine
An East Nashville man was arrested after he allegedly stole a box full of human ashes that his family said he more than likely believed was a bag full of cocaine.
"William thought it was drugs, he thought he'd done found him a box of cocaine is what he thought," explained the man's grandmother, Wanda Allen.
According to a police affidavit, William "Billy" Cantrell took an XBox from his neighbor along with a small box last week. His grandmother said the 28-year-old brought both of the items back to her house on North 2nd Street but she believes he was not sober at the time of the incident.
