AK will Recht auf Privatkopie absichern


Die Konsumentenschützer der Arbeiterkammer [AK] fordern anlässlich der bevorstehenden Urheberrechtsgesetz-Novelle heute die Sicherung des Rechts auf kostenlose Privatkopien.

Man müsse den Herstellern Regeln vorgeben, damit für die Konsumenten eine übliche Anzahl privater Kopien trotz Kopierschutztechniken möglich bleibt, erklärt AK-Konsumentenschützer Harald Glatz. Außerdem dürfen Konsumenten weder mit ungerechtfertigten Gebühren belastet noch für die Durchsetzung ihrer privaten Nutzungsrechte bestraft werden.

Hollywood verklagt Anbieter von DVD-Kopiersoftware

RIAA extends its grasp......to taxi drivers


Finland's Supreme Court has ruled that taxi drivers must pay royalty fees if they play music in their car while a paying customer is in the back seat, even if it's just the radio.
