Cxbx, The Xbox Emulator -> News
The latest CVS source code is available at cxbx.sourceforge.net. This is a developmental build and a stable binary has not yet been released. I have put up some google ad links above to generate some support. The last sizeable donation has gone towards a development box for Sopskrutt, and in the future it will help reimburse Xbox-Scene.com who is kind enough to host us.

Gopher: Underground Technology
Back in 1992, when "yahoo" was something cowboys yelled and "ebay" was just pig Latin, the University of Minnesota developed a new way of looking at data on the Internet. Their protocol, called "gopher" after the UMN mascot, allowed archivists to present the mishmash of information in a standard format, and enabled readers to navigate documents on a world of servers using a simple visual interface.
For a while, it seemed as if gopher might open the Internet up to the nontechnical masses and usher in a new era of online communication. It very well might have, if the Web hadn't come along and done it instead.

Abgespecktes Windows XP als Retter in der Not
Die gute alte DOS-Startdiskette ist bei heutigen Windows-Problemen nicht mehr der Weisheit letzter Schluss: NTFS-Datenträger und Partitionen über 2 GB lassen sich nicht ansprechen, lange Dateinamen sind ebenfalls nicht möglich. Abhilfe schafft "Bart's PE Builder", der aus einer Original-Windows-XP-CD ein eingeschränktes, aber voll funktionsfähiges Not-Betriebssystem macht.

No software Patents in Europe - Demonstration in Brussels, 14 april
On April 14, 2004, we organize a walking demonstration from Square de Meeus (near Place du Luxembourg) to the European Council building. Last year, we organized a similar demonstration in Brussels. It was a big success. About 400 persons came to Brussels. This year we try to mobilise even more supporters.
