Intel to offer journalists free Broadband Internet connectivity in World-First
All the journalists need is their own laptop (Pentium 2 or above), and an Internet account (e.g. Yahoo; Hotmail etc), Intel will provide a Network card (free of charge) and will configure the laptop for GPRS access.

Das Verbot von elektronischen Spielen in der Öffentlichkeit Griechenlands bleibt umstritten. Nach Kritik von Internetcafé-Betreibern und Spielern wird das Gesetz 3037 jetzt auch von richterlicher Seite angefochten: Ein griechisches Gericht hat zwei Internetcafé-Betreiber und einen Angestellten freigesprochen, die sich über die neue Regelung hinwegsetzten. Die Urteilsbegründung der Richter trifft die Kritik der Gesetzgegner auf den Punkt: Das Gesetz verstoße gegen die Verfassung des Landes.

Bezirksregierung Düsseldorf droht Heise-Verlag mit Klage. Der Düsseldorfer Regierungspräsident Jürgen Büssow hat dem Verlag Heinz Heise eine Klage angedroht, falls dieser seine Forderung nach Veröffentlichung einer Gegendarstellung nicht erfüllt.
