"Half Life 2": Hacker-Crew „Emporio“ haben Spiel gecrackt - Torrent-Version im Netz
Es ist schon bekannt, dass man Half Life 2 über das Steam-Tool runterladen kann. Wie berichtet wird, hat die „Hacker-Crew Emporio“ bereits die Steamversion von Half Life 2 gecrackt. Beweisen kann es die Crew mit zwei Screenshots.

Brasilianische Hacker-Clique ergaunert sich rund 70 Millionen Euro
Eine Hackerbande, die von Bankkunden um ca. 240 Millionen Real (70 Millionen Euro) ergaunert haben soll, wurde von der brasilianischen Polizei festgenommen.
Bei diesem Zugriff wurden 200 Beamten eingesetzt. Insgesamt wurden 61 Täter, die teilweise unter 25 Jahre alt sind, festgenommen. Die Aktion erstreckte sich über vier Bundesländer Brasiliens.

'Half Life 2' bekommt möglicherweise keine Jugendfreigabe
Das lang erwartete Computerspiel 'Half Life 2' wird laut einer Meldung der Internetseite planethl2.net möglicherweise keine Jugendfreigabe bekommen.
Ein Community-Mitglied soll von der Internetseite Amazon.de eine E-Mail erhalten haben, in der stehen soll, dass das Spiel nur für Personen über 18 Jahren freigegeben ist.

Eine Szene von Musikern hat sich dem 8-Bit-Sound verschrieben. Mit Gameboys, Old-School-Computern, einer Menge Fantasie und Erfindungsgeist pushen sie die veralteten Soundchips an ihre Grenzen und machen so Musik, die sich manch ein DJ auf seinen Plattenteller wünschen würde - wenn er nur von ihr wüsste.

Dutch Prosecutor Dumps PC Without Erasing Hard Drive
Joost Tonino, a public prosecutor in the Netherlands, decided to trash his computer because the operating system would not activate. He figured a virus was causing this problem. A cab driver found the PC and gave it to a crime reporter.
The reporter discovered the prosecutor's credit card number, social security number, tax information, and his email address. Tonino is lucky a thief did not take his PC. Equally disturbing is the amount of legal information that was found on the PC.

Nadeldrucker: Kreischende Nervensägen
Wer kennt noch die Ausgabegeräte der frühen PC-Ära, die ihre Druckpunkte mit kontrollierter Gewalt über ein Farbband zu Papier brachten? Den Nadeldrucker gibt es schon länger als den PC: 40 Jahre wird das Gerät dieser Tage jung. Er stirbt nicht aus, und wer einen besitzt, behandelt ihn gut.

Nordkorea bildet Hacker für Computerkrieg aus
Die Regierung Nordkoreas soll nach Angaben des südkoreanischen Verteidigungsministeriums hunderte von Computer-Hackern zur elektronischen Kriegsführung ausgebildet haben.
Nordkorea will sich mit dieser Maßnahme Zugang zu vertraulichen Informationen westlicher Länder schaffen. Die Technik sei mit dem Standard westlicher Länder vergleichbar.

Who tracks the trackers?
It's apparently okay for RFID tag promoters to watch you apply lipstick from 750 miles away, but not for a privacy advocate to keep an eye on companies using the pesky technology.
Yes, the cloak and dagger operations of consumer trackers have come under the microscope and it's not to the liking of Frontline Solutions. The conference organizer sent a letter to CASPIAN (Consumers Against Supermarket Privacy Invasion and Numbering), requiring that the organization pull down "unauthorized" photos of CheckPoint's RFID tags popping up in clothing from the likes of Abercrombie & Fitch and Champion taken at a recent event here. CASPIAN's leader Katherine Albrecht has refused to gag herself, opting instead to print Frontline's complaint online.
