Over the years, computers have changed the way we live today! In order to get us there, many hardware and software companies have pushed the envelope to create what we use today. The City of Chicago goes Linux, saves over 85%
The City of Chicago's announced successful migration to Red Hat Enterprise Linux for essential government programs including the vehicle registration system online job applications restaurant inspections ethics training and more. The City of Chicago migrated to Red Hat in order to reduce costs and improve support performance and scalability.

Apple's Steve Jobs to go to Jail?
This week's ouster of William W. McGuire as chairman and chief executive of UnitedHealth Group Inc. provided an inescapable sign that no executive is too big to be toppled by the stock option scandal - despite having many fans in the boardroom and on Wall Street.
That news also could rekindle a question: Is Apple Computer's iconic CEO Steven P. Jobs truly safe?

Is Internet Explorer 7 Spying on Me?
Like many other people in the world today, I decided to install IE7 on my computer. Now, I am a diehard fan of Firefox but I need to keep abreast of all different types of technology. This is why I was interested in installing Internet Explorer 7.
Now, imagine my surprise when I was asked to validate my copy of Windows before I continued to install Internet Explorer!
I fired up filemon and regmon from Sysinternals to see what it was exactly doing.

Project Blackbox
The Blackbox is a prototype of the world’s first virtualized datacenter built into a shipping container from Sun Microsystems. Windows virus worms onto some Apple iPods
The company said that a small number of video iPods made after Sept. 12 included the RavMonE virus. It said it has seen fewer than 25 reports of the problem, which it said does not affect other models of the media player, nor does it affect Macs.

Why Woz left Apple - an extract from his new autobiography
AFTER the US festivals and graduating from Berkeley * I went back to Apple as an engineer. I didn't want to be an executive. I wanted just to design circuits and apply clever ideas.
But it was weird because I was in the media mainstream and had so much other stuff to do.
