Online Videos May Conduct Viruses
A report on threats via the Internet released by a Georgia Tech research center indicates online video may be a new avenue of attack. As the popularity of flash media continues to explode, hackers may be targeting embedded video players and more traditional video downloads with worms and virii.

The Most Beautiful Supercomputer in the World
With my supercomputer-as-art background from Thinking Machines, I'm perhaps pre-disposed to appreciate nicely done computers and computer installations. I was blown away when I saw the photos below of MareNostrum, currently the 9th largest supercomputer in the world and the largest in Europe, which is installed in a former chapel at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC)

Ganz harmlos kommt es daher: ein kleines Trojanerchen hüpft in den heimischen PC, kopiert ein paar Dateien und verschwindet dann wieder spurlos. Fix an old iBook's video problems... with fire!
Mark Hoekstra from GeekTechnique subjected his iBook's motherboard to successive rounds of burnination and managed to correct the infamous iBook video display defect. Had this not succeeded, I think I'd still have to give him 10 points for style.

Citing recent highly publicized corporate data breaches that have beset major companies like Ameritrade, Citigroup, and Bank of America, McAfee CEO David DeWalt, said that cyber-crime has become a US$105 billion business that now surpasses the value of the illegal drug trade worldwide. Despite the increase in government compliance requirements and the proliferation of security tools, companies continue to underestimate the threat from phishing, data loss, and other cyber vulnerabilities, DeWalt said.

How to install and boot 145 operating systems in a PC
This is the "howto" I promised to write after this thread.
The 145 systems are:-
3 Dos 5 Windows 137 Linux
I have also installed most of the PC-based BSD and Solaris together with a Darwin x86 too but these systems dislike to co-exist with a large number of other systems so I have to keep them off in another PC until I find a way to tackle the technical issues.
