POOLE car nut Andy Saunders has spent six months turning a 2CV car into a bizarre work of art - after being inspired by Picasso.
The tiny French motor is now an artistic masterpiece after the multi-coloured makeover and abstract alterations.

Parade of Ferraris Sets New World Record
Here's a fun traffic jam to be a part of: a group of 385 Ferraris parading down the Silverstone circuit in England. It happened just a week or so ago on June 9th as part of a celebration to mark the company's anniversary year. Just a few of the models present were a 250 California Spider, a 275GTB/C, FXX, F40, F50 and an Enzo. The total value of all the Ferraris involved is estimated to be more than $118.4 million.

Am Freitag waren schon die ersten GTI-Fans auf Kärntens Straßen unterwegs. Offizieller Start ist der 16. Mai. Viele Anrainer flüchten aus Reifnitz; der Betreiber eines Kurhauses sagt, der Ort werde zum größten Freiluftklo Europas.

David Beckham’s stolen car used as an official government vehicle
A year ago, David Beckham’s BMW X5 was stolen from his home in Madrid. The car was estimated at £70,000. Now his stolen car is used as an official government vehicle in Macedonia.

No joke: comedian wrecks rare Ferrari
Actor/Comedian (though apparently not /Driver) Eddie Griffin was rehearsing for a charity racing event today when he lost control of his FERRARI ENZO (yes, a $643,330 Ferrari Enzo, one of only 399 to ever see pavement) and crashed it into a barrier. Thankfully, and yet sadly, the entire thing was caught on tape, so click through if you have a strong stomach for automotive carnage (Eddie was unhurt, though the car can’t say the same).

Man prangs £830k Bugatti Veyron
An unknown driver trashed an £830,000 Bugatti Veyron on Sunday in what UK tabloid The Sun is calling "the world's costliest road crash". The 253mph beast crashed in pouring rain on a 40mph stretch of the B375 near Chertsey, Surrey, while allegedly doing 100mph. The driver apparently lost control and the hand-built French motor hit a Vauxhall Astra before "smashing into trees up a 3ft bank".

Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera revealed
The cat, errr, bull is out of the bag, with both images and the press release about the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera circulating the web. The 'purist' Gallardo gets an extra 10 hp and 154 fewer pounds (in U.S. trim), allowing the Italian hyper car to sprint to 60 in 3.8 seconds, .2 seconds less than the standard Gallardo. The weight reduction comes from swapping out a number of components with carbon fiber bits, including the wing mirrors, door panels, engine cover and the central tunnel's covering. After the diet, the Superleggera tips the scales at just 3,152 pounds -- 5.5 pounds/hp.

And to think that there’re some people out there who believe that the Dodge Viper is absurd… Ha! Tipping the scale at 454 kg or 1.000 lb, the Rapom is equipped with a 8,2-litre supercharged Mopar V8 engine (tuned by ICE Racing) that runs on alcohol producing 1000 - 1200hp.

800-horsepower Shelby Cobra sells for US$5.5M at Arizona classic car auction
An 800-horsepower Shelby Cobra, once the personal car of the racing veteran who developed the iconic vehicle, has sold for US$5.5 million at auction, a record for an American car.
The sale of the 1966 Shelby Cobra "Super Snake" brought a packed house to its feet Saturday at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction after a pair of bidders drove the price up.
