Guess Who's Back - Jay-Z
I got reminded of this track this morning after it popped on shuffle on my MP3 player whilst wandering around town and it's too good not to share. I'm not the biggest Kanye fan; he's definitely talented on the boards but his belief that he's a half-decent MC let's him down (as does his penchant for posing in photos like the above). This is my favourite production of his, from Scarface's (The Geto Boys) 2002 album The Fix - being pre-College Dropout, he's obviously not yet under the misapprehension that he's Gods gift to rapping as he leaves mic duties to the far superior Jay-Z and Scarface.

has released his new stuff "Rita Got Loaded". It mixed "Lovely Rita" by the Beatles with my favorite song "Loaded" by Primal Scream. It gives an effect of relax.

Black Eyed Peas, 3 Doors Down, RHCP & Gary Jules
I n my recent blog i mentioned that i wanted to do a remake of my first horrible mash-up which contained samples from "Where Is The Love" by Black Eyed Peas. Well, here is the result! And i am far more satisfied with this. It's always funny to mash songs from different genres. It this case i have taken songs from hip hop, alt.rock, and singer/songwriter.

Ten More Albums in Ten Minutes (mp3s)
The deadline for the Sixty Second Song Contest has passed and in the next week or so, I hope to post the 30 finalists for listener and reader voting. In the meantime, here are another ten sixty second reductions of albums. The Rush remix is only one album side, but balancing that out is the Brian Eno remix, which is two albums in one minute (one of the left channel and one on the right channel)! Thanks to everybody who submitted remixes!

Ok, I've been posting a few mash-ups lately, and thought I'd compile some of the better ones into a collection here. Chances are, you've not heard of all the names (outside of Morel that is), but the radio and blog world have been buzzing with many of these tunes in the last few years, so enjoy.
