Salam Pax: Hubbub Over a Headlock
Taylor Suchan, who runs Industrial Death Rock and Pyxz.com out of Texas, said he redirected the links from Dear Raed's original photos to the parody image out of frustration. According to Suchan, the tremendous traffic to the Baghdad blog since Friday has essentially used up all his available bandwidth, making other sites that Industrial hosts inaccessible.

Iraqi Uses Web to Chronicle a City Under the Bombs
A mysterious Iraqi who calls himself Salam Pax, writing a Web log from the heart of Baghdad, has developed a large Internet following with his wry accounts of daily life in a city under U.S. bombardment.
Salam Pax, a pseudonym crafted from the Arabic and Latin words for peace, came back on line on Monday after a two-day break because of interruptions in Internet access.
The traffic on his Web site, dear_raed.blogspot.com, caused the server to go down and Salam's e-mail folder has filled with inquiries about his true identity.

Hurra New Antville server is on its way
I ordered the new, future antville.org Server the other day. The picture above shows what it will look like on the inside. After lots and lots of thinking and discussions with people with lots of experience running big server racks, I decided to go with a bigger 2 unit server instead of a 1 unit model. The reason is that 1 unit rack servers are tightly crammed and usually have significantly reduced lifetime compared to spacier models.

Ein neuer Server für den Ameisenhaufen
In letzter Zeit gab es bei der Weblog-Community Antville Probleme. Die Performance war manchmal arg bescheiden, das Anlegen neuer Weblogs wurde unterbunden, User und Sysadmins hatten sich mit einer Vielzahl von Updates und Unterbrechungen abzufinden. Der Grund dafür: "Adele", der Server, auf dem Antville beheimatet ist, war an seine leistungsmäßigen Grenzen geraten.

Die Welt der konservativen Warblogs ist um einen ganz besonders engagierten Vertreter reicher: R.Robot zaudert nicht, wenn es darum geht, liberalen Geistern fehlenden Patriotismus und altlinke Reflexe zu unterstellen. Doch was R.Robot antreibt, ist nicht ideologischer Eifer, sondern ein simples Skript.
