Google's Memory Upgrade
How Blogger could do more than improve Google's Web searches.
Why did Google buy Blogger? Ever since the news leaked a few weeks ago, the Web has been awash with speculation. So far, most theorizing has focused on the ways that Blogger could enhance Google's ability to search for Web pages. But the Blogger acquisition could open up an entirely new service for Google. Instead of just helping you find new things, Google could help you keep track of what you've already found. Right now Google is a kind of information detective, and a brilliant one at that. But it could be something more: an extension of your memory.

Mozilla: Blogging's Killer App
Last summer, I found that IE on my mac was so completely screwed up I was forced to use another browser until they released an update. While I had only occasionally used mozilla for testing, after a couple weeks as a browser refugee I was a mozilla convert, and have been ever since. I use IE for testing only now, and can't see any reason to move off mozilla anytime soon.
I always wanted a resource to point friends to that were not yet mozilla/phoenix/chimera converts and decided a few months ago to finally sit down and write it. The following instructions and screenshots are from November 2002 releases of mozilla 1.2 betas, but the tips and tricks should translate to current and future versions without too much trouble.

Blogging goes mobile
People will soon be able to publish their own website via their phones as blogging goes mobile.
Blogs or weblogs are online diaries - personal web pages that can be frequently updated.
There are millions of blogs on the web and they are often interlinked, creating an eco-system of ever-changing ideas on the net.
The latest trend is moblogging - updating your blog with a mobile phone.

We're on the new server
Unfortunately we had to switch IP address, so it may take some time for the new DNS record to propagate. So far, things look pretty good. Let us know if you see anything weird.
With the new server we also switched back to better quality image resizing and switched story read count on again.

PSYCHOLOGY OF WEBLOGS
Back in 1998, I wrote an essay entitled, Psychology of Weblogs, an attempt to describe a growing phenomenon of people creating Weblogs (or blogs) and personal journals online. Now, four years later, blogs have exploded in numbers where they are seriously competing with ordinary personal homepages for people's attention. So popular have they become, over the next few months we will see the publication of no less than a half-dozen mainstream book titles about the blogging phenomenon and "how-to's."

H E L P - Audio blogger`s
How does Audio Blogger work? Audio Blogger was a very simple application to build, using ColdFusion MX, Flash MX, Dreamweaver MX, Flash Communication Server MX and Flash Remoting. This short article provides a high-level overview of how the utility was built and how it operates.
What it does? Audio Blogger allows anyone to easily create a piece of original voice content and then embed that content in any web page or weblog. The voice content can be of any length, and it will automatically stream to end-users. The utility allows anyone to create an account, create audio blog items, and review how many people have listened to the items.

Today, the Presurfer celebrates its second birthday on the web. It has come to my knowledge that 65% of all pages that are published on the internet do not survive the first 6 months. They are deleted or abandoned.

Wer hätte das gedacht...
The Harry Potter Nimbus 2000 Broom for sale at Amazon.com can help your children feel the magic. When tucked between the legs, the broom vibrates.
Customers rave about the product, noting with amazement how long their children, (especially daughters) spend with the toy.
