Museum treasures on show online
Thousands of unseen exhibits from three of the UK's leading museums will today be made available by the launch of a new science website.
For the first time, more than 30,000 objects from the collections of the Science museum, the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television and the National Railway museum will be accessible at

Künstler fertigte aus seinem Sperma ein Gemälde von George Bush an
Im Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York konnten Kunstliebhaber bis vor kurzem ein ganz besonderes Bild betrachten. Ein Künstler, dessen Name bisher unbekannt ist, fertigte Bilder von Bush und Clinton an.
An insgesamt vier bedeutenden Kunstmuseen wurden die Bilder zur Ausstellung an die Außenwände geklebt. Auf einem Schild neben einem Bild des derzeitigen US-Präsidenten war jedoch ein ungewöhnlicher Hinweis angebracht.
Dort konnte man nachlesen, dass in dem 20 mal 40 Zentimeter Bild nicht nur Acryl sondern auch 'der Samen des Künstlers' eingearbeitet wurde.

Auch in Österreich gibt es am und um den 16. Juni, dem hundertsten "Bloomsday", zu Ehren seines Schöpfers James Joyce (1882 - 1944) zahlreiche Veranstaltungen, wie Ausstellungen, Lesungen, Filmvorführungen, Performances.

Sound of Bloomsday comes 100 years later
You wait a century for a recording of every word of Ulysses and then 54 CDs of James Joyce's masterpiece come along at once.
Rival versions - one on 22 CDs, the other on 32 - of the complete text are launched this month to mark the anniversary of the book acknowledged as one of the greatest novels of the 20th century but also as one of the most started, least finished, books in the world.

Artist Covers Bed With 312 Pounds Of Ham
Some see it as appetizing, some see it as a waste of food, and others think it's just plain weird.
An artist who is best known for his work with cheese has ventured into a different medium. In a street-level gallery of a Manhattan hotel Thursday Cosimo Cavallaro performed his latest work -- 312 pounds of processed ham covering a four-poster bed.

Magicians Take Sides Over Houdini Exhibit
The secret of Harry Houdini's signature "Metamorphosis" escape trick is out of the bag. A new exhibit, "A.K.A. Houdini," opened Wednesday at the Outagamie Museum, revealing how Houdini, handcuffed inside a sack and locked in a trunk, somehow managed to switch places with an assistant on the outside. Frank Zander zeigt Ausstellung der etwas anderen Art
Frank Zander ist überwiegend durch seine Partysongs wie 'Oh, Susi' oder 'Ich trink auf dein Wohl, Marie' bekannt. Auch als Moderator war der ehemalige Grafikstudent im Fernsehen zu sehen.
In Berlin wird er am Dienstag eine Ausstellung der besonderen Art in einer Galerie zeigen. 'Das wird ein Happening. Es gibt Ibiza-Schnaps und ich fahre mit der Kutsche vor.', kommentiert der Künstler selbst.

Controversial Gallery Owner Attacked
he got death threats after she displayed controversial paintings of US forces in Iraq at her San Francisco shop. Now, some believe, someone's anger over an artist's work has led to an attack on both a gallery owner and free speech.
The attack on the gallery owner is frightening enough, but she says trying to silence freedom of expression is even more dangerous.

Police Weed Out Art Exhibition
A Swedish art exhibit featuring cannabis plants may have to be canceled after police confiscated the plants in a drugs bust.
The exhibition, due to open on Saturday in the university town of Lund and titled "Counterclockwise Circumambulation," was partially destroyed when police cut the plants to take them away as evidence, artist Sture Johannesson said.
