Susanne, Claudia und Aisha sind auf dem Laufsteg wahre Profis. Eine Modeschau in der Art absolvieren sie aber nicht alle Tage: Beim Vertical catwalk an der Fassade des Kaufhof in Frankfurt mussten sich die Models 20 Meter in die Tiefe abseilen.

Wall-eye may have helped Rembrandt's vision
Rembrandt, the 17th-century Dutch master known for his skill in using light to carry perspective, may have been wall-eyed, a U.S. researcher has proposed. An analysis of 36 self-portraits of the great painter suggest he had a strabismus -- a misalignment of one eye that caused it to point slightly outward.

Ein erotischer Werbefilm, der sogar mit dem 'Golden Award of Montreux 2004' ausgezeichnet wurde, hat dafür gesorgt, dass die Klickrate der Homepage von 'Leos Sports Club' rapide anstieg.
Allerdings wurden durch die vielen Zugriffe die Server lahm gelegt, so dass das Fitnessstudio den Werbefilm wieder vom Netz nehmen musste.

Bag of rubbish artwork confuses gallery cleaner
There are those who argue that most modern art is rubbish, but few critics take the view as literally as a cleaner at one of Britain's most prestigious galleries. Faced with a large plastic bag filled with newspaper, cardboard and other similar items, the cleaner at London's Tate Britain failed to spot that it formed a part of a work by German artist Gustav Metzger, a report said Friday.

Giant toilet raises eyebrows in Berlin
A giant plastic toilet bowl on Berlin's swank Unter den Linden boulevard, the work of a French artist, has been raising more than a few eyebrows in recent days. The still-unfinished white toilet, some 2.5 metres (eight feet) high, is part of a series of nine giant art works due to feature on the central Berlin artery this weekend in a collection called "RefleCity", by Armel Reau.

Demands unmet, Swedish militants decapitate fiberglass cow
- A shadowy group of militant Stockholmers carried out their threat to "execute" a fiberglass life-size cow after their demand that "Cow Parade", an outdoor art exhibit, be dismantled was not met, organizers said.
"We have received the cow cut into pieces in a bag. It's really sad. There's no way of repairing it," Cow Parade spokeswoman Helene Cederberg told AFP.

Graffiti Group Kidnaps Cow, But Is It Art?
Swedish graffiti artists kidnapped a fiber-glass cow from the international art exhibit CowParade, held power drills to its head and threatened to "sacrifice" it unless the sculptures were declared "non-art."
A video sent to a newspaper showed the cow flanked by two masked, black-clad figures wielding power drills in front of a sign reading "Stockholm's Militant Graffiti Artists."
"We demand that the cows are declared non-art. Otherwise the hostage will be sacrificed," said a voice on the video. The group gave the organizers of the Stockholm exhibit till noon on Aug. 23 to comply with their demand.

Artist sculpts with own fat
An Argentine artist is selling sculptures made out of her own fat which was taken out during a liposuction.
Two kilos of the fat were transformed in two sculptures of the female naked body and are being sold for £250 each.

Prague cow art under attack
A plastic cow has been stolen and is feared "drowned" in the latest attack on an open-air art exhibition in Prague featuring more than 200 brightly coloured life-size cows.
So far vandals have attacked 50 of the CowParade exhibition's 214 beasts dotted around central Prague, causing damage around 1 million koruna (about $A54,000).

Italy's Mr and Mrs Oversize
A 30-stone woman and 32-stone man have been crowned Italy's Mr and Mrs 'Over Size' in a beauty pageant aimed at making people feel better about being overweight.
More than 5,000 people turned up to see Giovanna Guidoni named Mrs Over Size and Fabio Teseo Mr Over Size at the contest in Forcoli near Pisa.
