Terry Pratchett - The Pratchgan 2008 - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!!!
Funniest bit was just as they left - there was guy of about 17 or so standing just behind them & he turned to me & said 'he was just, like, *there!*' in a thunderstruck voice.
Terry loved the Pratchgan - he said it must have taken a thousand seamstresses a long time to make. He said it's outrageous & over-the-top & brilliant & he's gonna put it on his bed. Just before he left he said '& I still aten't dead' :0D

A mixture of all three! It took us days to figure out exactly what was required, to be able to do exactly what we need to be doing, as it’s quite an unusual task we’re undertaking, especially the audiovisual sampling of live streams that you’ve actually no idea what exactly they’ll be until they happen!

Riefenstahl 2.0 - Die Ästhetik der olympischen Eröffnungsfeier
Bei allen (berechtigten) politischen Fragen, die die Olympischen Spiele in China aufwerfen, muss man doch mal eines grade festhalten: optisch ist die Eröffnungsfeier der reinste Wahnsinn, pyrotechnisch sowieso.

VJ Olympics? Addictive TV Remixing Sports for Adidas and Austria
With the Olympics opening ceremony coming up, I’m sure there are some visualists right now in Beijing preparing for one of the biggest performances of their lives. Since 2004 generative video and projection mapping has come a long way, so I’m expecting we might see something completely bonkers in the next 12 or so hours.

Camera Head Project
The agents are a highly trained elite group of cybernetically enhanced observers using the latest and greatest in modern surveillance technology. Each Camerahead agent has been hand selected and specially modified for their unique ability to monitor the public with a complete disregard for anyone's personal privacy. Wonderfully Wacky Toy Art
What can you do with those old used up toys that your children used to play with, but are now collecting dust in the corner of your attic? Artist Robert Bradford makes good use of them and creates sculptures out of these toys.

The Big Lebowski Edition
Inspired by Cinema Redux, I used Thumber to output this lovely fingerprint of my The Big Lebowski — which just so happens to be one of my all-time favorite movies.
There's a much larger version of this — around 7680 x 14976 and 25 MB — that I'm considering making a 24 x 36 poster out of. After getting linked on BoingBoing, I'm investigating getting this turned into a poster.
