The World Premiere of the Stage Version of Tom Robbins' Even Cowgirls Get the Blues
The new Seattle production of Even Cowgirls Gets the Blues hits the same cosmic gong of enlightenment the book did, making you laugh and think in equal proportions. It's out of the ballpark, never less than outrageously entertaining while remaining extremely faithful to the anarchic spirit of the original book. This was especially true of the world premiere at the Seattle Center, right there under the Space Needle, next to the 60's amusement park that stands as an everlasting tribute to amusement technology gone by. The attendance of Tom Robbins, inserted into the play - very much as he inserted himself into his novel - brought the whole thing into startling 4D perspective.

Metal plates send messages to airport x-ray screeners
One of my favorite artists, Evan Roth, is working on a project that will be released soon - the pictures say it all, it's a "carry on" communication system.

For months now, they have provided a daily doorstep puzzle for mystified homeowners.

And another thing...
All the characters have been blown to pieces, and the trilogy is already two books too long.
But the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy has never had a problem with highly improbable events.
Douglas Adams died in 2001, having written five of the enduringly popular Hitchhiker books - still inaccurately dubbed a trilogy.
About 16 million copies of the books have been sold worldwide, but fans were left disappointed when it seemed as though Adams' early death ended the series with all the main characters seemingly meeting a grizzly end.

The Ultimate Guide to Banksy
And although the pseudonym and the signature style of the artist are well known, there’s not much else that we know for sure about Banksy. A few tidbits of information are widely accepted: he is from Bristol, UK, and got involved in graffiti art sometime in the early 90s. He began to gain widespread notoriety around 2003. He was born in or around 1974 and sports a silver tooth. He is, according to the few people who have met him as Banksy, an unassuming and typical-looking man.
His refusal to be interviewed in person or even to reveal his real name has added to his mystique over the years. In the UK (and, increasingly, in other parts of the world) Banksy-spotters claim to know the artist’s real identity on a fairly regular basis. Although he’s been caught on CCTV a few times, he is clever enough to keep his identity a mystery.

The £10,000 drawing that turned out to be a £100 MILLION Da Vinci
As an artist, inventor, anatomist, engineer, mathematician and even a botanist, Leonardo Da Vinci was the ultimate Renaissance man.
However, it seems he may have had one more string to his bow - as a matchmaker.
Art historians now believe he is responsible for this 500-year-old pen and ink drawing, which was commissioned by a female Italian aristocrat to show to potential suitors.
Known as Nuptial Portrait of a Young Woman, it was sold for £10,000 in 1998 after being attributed to a German artist.
