Mentioned in the Guinness book of records for 18 consecutive years. The collection was started in 1980-the cost of acquiring the bottles makes the hobby quite expensive. 3 500 bottles are from breweries which have closed down. The smallest bottle measures 6cm, the largest 50cm. All bottles put on top of each other will reach a height of about 3 183m, eight times the height of the Empire State Building. All bottles put side by side on shelves 20cm deep would require a width of the shelves of 49m in a room 2,5 high. The bottles make an attractive wall display. Exhibitions in Berlin and Leverkusen showed that both men and woman enjoy the different kinds of bottles, especially the foreign ones. Minimum offer $150000.
