Fisherman suffocates in own net
AN experienced Sunshine Coast commercial fisherman, described by colleagues as "a legend", has been killed in a net accident which has stunned his family, friends and rescuers.
Noel Stevenson, of Buderim, who would have turned 46 next month, was found apparently suffocated in his nets after being accidentally wound on to the net spool along with his catch by his boat's hydraulic winch.
