Actress Axed From "ER" For Being "Too Old"
Alex Kingston, the British actress who played Elizabeth Corday on ER, has told a British radio magazine that she was cut from the cast of the show because she was too old. Kingston is 41 and has been on ER since 1997-98.
Kingston stated that "Apparently I, according to the producers, the writers, am part of the old fogeys who are no longer interesting. Does it mean that I am the geriatric being pushed out because she is too old?"
