Punk lyrics mistaken for 'terror' text

A punk rock musician was questioned by a Special Branch officer after a text message containing lyrics from a Clash song was sent to the wrong person.

Mike Devine, from Bristol, UK, plays bass in a Clash tribute group called London Calling, and had intended to text the message to singer Reg Shaw. He used the wrong number.

He was asked to explain what the message meant, which contained the words "gun" and "jet airliner. The officer seemed "puzzled" and "a little embarrassed" after it was explained that the words were by the Clash.
