2004 marks several other notable 10th anniversaries, including those for Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction," the suicide of Kurt Cobain and the first episode of the sitcom "Friends." If that doesn't quite say it all about the state of the culture over the ensuing decade, it says a considerable amount: We had dead bodies, rampant sensationalism and an absurdly affluent class of single people living in gigantic big-city apartments without appearing to work for a living.
