FBI warns to watch for potential terrorists with almanacs
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has asked police around the United States to watch out for almanacs that it said could be used to prepare terrorist attacks, an FBI spokesman said. In a warning sent to 18,000 police departments on December 24, the FBI said that "almanacs are used for targeting purposes," according to FBI spokesman Ed Cogswell.
