Suspected Missile Falls in Eastern Turkey

A suspected missile fell near a village in eastern Turkey not far from the Iraqi border on Sunday, the local governor told Reuters.

A village official said there was an explosion and fire where it fell.

Governor Sukru Kocatepe said the falling object had made a large hole in fields near a village in the province of Urfa in southeastern Turkey, about 180 miles from the Iraqi border.
