Two Small Planes Collide Over Denver, four Dead

Two small planes collided over Denver on Friday, crashing down on a house and into a backyard and killing all four people aboard, local officials said.

Six people on the ground were slightly injured from falling debris in the 5:15 p.m. (7:15 p.m. EST) crash of the Cessna-172 P Skyhawk and a twin-engine Piper Cheyenne.

"The plane struck the back of the house and there was an explosion," Denver Police Department Chief Gerry Whitman said of the single-engine Cessna.
