Michael Jackson and Axl Rose: both famous, both controversial, both rich -- and both, perhaps, their own worst enemies.
Not so long ago, you might not have lumped Jackson and Rose together -- their histories, their sounds and their track records for success are hugely different. But in 2002 both seemed to determined to self-destruct.
