Mecca Cola


In recent years, Arab boycotts of American products and brand names have increased - bans on Coke, McDonalds, and KFC have become the rallying point through which Arab individuals protest the culture and policies of the United States. What happens when a Muslim has a desire for the taste of Coca-Cola, but is torn by his obligations to comply with the boycott? The answer, found in today's New York Times, is Mecca-Cola.
