Fall from grace of a firebrand
The drubbing for Austrian far-right leader Joerg Haider's Freedom Party in Sunday's elections marks a dramatic fall from grace for the charismatic firebrand.
The drastic decline of the anti-immigration Freedom Party -- which lost nearly two-thirds of the votes it garnered two years ago -- put a dent in the polished image of the former party head who has continued to pull the strings from behind the scenes.
