Protesting French Prostitutes
Riot police officers watch prostitutes demonstrating outside the Senate in Paris Tuesday Nov. 5, 2002 to protest a government-proposed anti-crime bill that seeks to expand police powers. The bill calls for a six-month prison term and fine for passive solicitation by prostitutes, based on their dress or their attitude.
