Bizarre accident damages four cars

According to Sgt. James Burdick of the North Adams Police Department, James Hancock, 77, of 17 Pleasant St., Adams, was trying to park his 1988 Oldsmobile across from Jack's Hot Dogs at about 12:20 p.m. when it suddenly shot backward, knocking over a parking meter and smashing into the 2000 Honda parked behind it. The Oldsmobile's back wheels rolled up onto the Honda's rear bumper, and its back half landed on the Honda's hood.
