Hingis fails cocaine test and makes hurried exit

Switzerland's Martina Hingis, five times a grand slam winner and the youngest No1 in modern tennis, revealed yesterday that she had tested positive for cocaine during this year's Wimbledon and was retiring immediately. "I have never taken drugs and I feel 100% innocent," Hingis said. "The reason I have come out with this is because I do not want to have a fight with anti-doping authorities."
