Cost of living and earnings around the world - compared
Rankings of cities around the world are published regularly: best place to live, best place for business, best place for expats, cheapest or most expensive city, etc. Generally, they are based on an index comprising several indicators. When you look at the raw data, however, you discover that the differences among variables can be significant, and the index, or the average, can't possibly reflect them according to each individual's priorities and needs.
