Noisy planes to "train" birds to stay away from new Thai airport

Small and noisy planes will soon begin flying over Thailand's new international airport to "train" birds to avoid the area when it opens next year, an Airports of Thailand (AOT) official said. The official said that planes will begin flights next week over the new 3.7-billion-dollar Suvarnabhumi Airport to scare away the birds, which can cause planes to crash if they are sucked into jet engines.
