Lalu chucks humour, takes to poetry
For a change, it was neither President A P J Abdul Kalam nor poet-politician Atal Bihari Vajpayee who were reciting poems and couplets in Parliament, but Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, more famous for his rustic wit and humour. "Uthna hai aur bhi oopar, hain oonchaiyan pukaarti, Hai apaar kshamatayen, ashayen tumhe niharti (We have to rise higher, for the heights beckon us. Unlimited capacities and expectations are looking upon you)", Prasad said in his Railway Budget speech while referring to financial challenges.
